Pastor James Morrise
is a native of Tallulah, LA., born to the late Johnny McCoy and Frankie B. Morrise. In 1998, Pastor Morrise relocated to Gonzales, LA where he married his beautiful wife Treniece Morrise. To this union, four children were born (Treon, Joshua, Teja, and Taylor).
Early in life, Pastor Morrise sensed a desire to please God and thus accepted Jesus Christ as his savior. In 1998, he rededicated his life to Christ and embarked on a life-long journey to serve God. Impassioned to serve his community, in 2008, Pastor James Morrise established Life in the Kingdom Ministries in Tallulah, LA in hopes of bringing light to a community under an attack of darkness. In addition, Pastor Morrise is the founder of “No Guns, Know God,” a community movement devoted to facilitating constructive outcomes for those at risk by combating violence and promoting social change.
On January 10th, 2016, under the tutelage of Pastor Danny M. Donaldson, Sr., Pastor James Morrise and Lady Treniece were installed as the campus pastors of Rose Hill Church of Port Allen where they presently serve and lead God’s people.
Currently, Pastor Morrise is pursuing his degree in Psychology. He believes changing your mind is the first step to changing your life. Kingdom living begins once an individual has a personal encounter with Jesus Christ.
Amidst several accolades, Pastor James Morrise is dedicated to seeing the Word of God produce practical change in the hearts of all people. As a husband, father, community activist, leader and successful businessman, Pastor Morrise staunchly calls nations to tap into the benefits of living life in the kingdom of God. As a voice for this generation, Pastor James Morrise has been anointed by God, to lead others to the abundant life that Christ promised.
Lady Treniece Morrise
Lady Treniece Morrise, a native of Saint James, Louisiana, is the wife of Pastor James Morrise, the mother of Treon, Joshua, Teja, and Taylor Morrise, and the classy campus pastor of Rose Hill Church of Port Allen.
As a daughter of Rev. Myron and Brenda Jones, of Hopeful Baptist Church, Lady Treniece is well versed in ministry and equipped to expand the kingdom of God. She holds both a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond, LA and Master’s degree in Social Work from Southern University of New Orleans. Lady Treniece seeks to transform the world one person at a time. She adamantly believes that all people, given the appropriate tools, can fulfill their destiny.
Driven by her unfailing compassion for others, Lady Treniece actively volunteers within the community. She serves as a member of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW), National Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), SELU Alumni Association, SUNO Alumni Association, East Baton Rouge Federation of Teachers, and Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society. Having the desire to see women live to their fullest potential, she leads the Rose Hill Church Port Allen women’s ministry called Royal and Unique Women. As a mentor, she desires her life to serve as a beacon of hope.
Surpassing all other accolades, the ultimate goal of Lady Treniece Morrise, is to tell the entire world about a Savior named Jesus Christ.
