Rose Hill Church of Port Allen is a ministry birthed out of a love for people. In March of 2013 Pastor Danny M. Donaldson Sr. felt a strong desire to reach the people of West Baton Rouge. Believing the Word of God to be the ultimate transformative agent, he implemented a two-night Crusade, themed “Changing lives by extending the Love of God.” This crusade took place on April 30, 2013 through May 1, 2013 at the Addis Community Center and is considered the first worship service of Rose Hill Church Port Allen.
Searching for a more consistent place to worship, Rose Hill Church West, which is what it was called at the time, joined forces with The Hall Davis Cathedral and held their first Bible Study on May 16, 2013. As people began to gather to hear the Word, Pastor Donaldson felt lead to add a Sunday service. Therefore on Sunday, January 6, 2014, at 10:30am Rose Hill Church West held its 1st Sunday service.
Throughout the next two years, Pastor Donaldson continued to practically teach the uncompromising Word of God. Eventually, after seeking the Lord, Pastor Donaldson decided Rose Hill Church West needed its own campus pastor to sustain the ministry’s growth.
On January 10, 2016, Elder James Morrise and Lady Treniece Morrise were installed as Campus Pastors. That night, the official name of Rose Hill Church West changed to Rose Hill Church of Port Allen.
Founded on the Word of God, Rose Hill Church of Port Allen stands on Matthew 16:18 which reads, “ And I say to you that you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it.”
